First Farm Protected for WPC's Farmland Access Initiative
A newly acquired farm in Mercer County is the first of several farm properties WPC is working to acquire and lease to local farmers as part of its Farmland Access Initiative.
With the demand for locally grown food rising, this program helps support the local food economy by making land more accessible to farmers. The 47-acre property in Mercer County is eligible for leasing. This spring, interested farmers can submit an application to lease acres at this farm. Learn more about this initiative and farm!
